WARREN Feeney faces a make-or-break fitness test ahead of Cherries' Division Two encounter against Luton tonight.
Feeney was carried off with a facial injury after being poleaxed by a clearance from Kerry Mayo during Cherries' 1-0 win over Brighton on Saturday.
It was first feared the Ulsterman, who had netted Cherries' winner, could be out for up to six weeks until X-rays revealed he had not broken his jaw. But after suffering a bout of amnesia - when he even forgot he had scored the clincher - Feeney was told he would need medical clearance before he could play again.
And despite being given the green light to return to the fold by club doctor Kevin East yesterday, Feeney must still prove he is fit enough to face the Hatters at Dean Court (7.45pm kick-off).
The 22-year-old striker will be put through his paces by Cherries physio Jim Marshall at Canford School today before boss Sean O'Driscoll names his starting line-up.
Feeney, who has hit four goals in Cherries' last five league games, told the Daily Echo last night: "Although the doctor has given me the all-clear, I've still got to see how I'm feeling after I have done some running.
"I had a thorough examination and he told me everything was okay from a medical point of view so hopefully everything will be fine after I have done a bit of running."
