Diamond prize is a cit above rest

From the Echo, first published Wednesday 15th Oct 2003.

DIAMONDS might well be a girl's best friend but pictured here is 2CR FM's Gemma Bolton modelling some she will have to give away.

The pendant, with one carat of princess cut diamonds, set in 18-carat white gold, and worth £1,500 is the top prize in a Christmas competition organised by the radio station and Bournemouth town centre manager, Kevin Moore.

The classy prize has been put up by Westover Jewellers. Other prizes worth up to £250 and will be given away one a day from December 1.

Other prizes will be provided by Bournemouth retailers.

All competition entrants will be put into a draw to find the lucky winner of the diamond pendant.

This year's central Bournemouth Christmas lights switch-on takes place late afternoon on Sunday November 23.

Bournemouth Square will host French and Continental markets on December 4, 5, 6, 18, 19 and 20.

For information, including event listings, get the Echo Christmas Guide on November 8.
