DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET? The Fab Beatles will be in Ferndown this month
TOP Beatles tribute band The Fab Beatles twist and shout their way into the Ferndown Centre next week.
The band, who only last week were seen on BBC1's Battle of the Fantasy Bands, play Ferndown on Wednesday January 31.
Using exactly the same equipment as the original Fab Four - Ludwig drums, Rickenbacker, Gretsch and Hofner guitars plus Vox amplifiers, the band put together a painstaking and of course fully-costumed re-creation.
In fact they are considered to have got so close to the original Beatles sound that they were specifically asked by EMI to play the complete track listing from Beatles #1, the hugely successful Beatles compilation CD, live at Liverpool's Cavern Club.
Michael Parkinson even chose them as guest entertainers at his Celebrity Dinner and Cricket Match this year, commenting: "The Fab Beatles are truly fab and I know because I saw the other lot."
Their live stage show covers all the main eras of the Beatles journey to pop immortality from Cavern/Hamburg through the Mop-Top era to Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sergeant Pepper to Abbey Road and Let It Be.
The band, just in case you are wondering, are Kev Day as John Lennon, Andy Southard as Paul McCartney, Lyndown Wilson as George Harrison and Pete Isbelle as Ringo Starr.
