Jester a great evening

From the Echo, first published Thursday 25th Jan 2001.

THE Jester Laugh Comedy Club is back in action again tonight at the Portman Hotel in Boscombe.

The evening's bill includes Andrew White, an up-and-coming comedian from Birmingham who was a finalist in last year's So You Think You Are Funny contest at the Edinburgh Festival.

Singer and comedian Brian Damage is a stalwart of the London pub and club circuit.

Also on the bill is wacky comedienne Vicky de Lacy of whom it is said: "she manages to avoid foul language, filth and bodily part references - until she gets on stage."

And finally Jeff Mirza who is one of Britain's best known Asian comics and something of a cult hero at Jester Laugh.
